Drugs Still Being Given to Make Patients Easier to Handle

In 2009 it came to light that four out of five dementia patients were being given antipsychotic drugs to keep them quiet. Only last year the Department of Health warned that these drugs may cause other medical conditions to get worse. Stephen Adams, Medical Correspondent for The Telegraph disclosed that statistics published recently showed a reduction in the use of these drugs, however certain areas of the UK still need to address this very important issue.
